Dr. Gur is a Professor of Sports Medicine and Physiology at the University of Uludag, Bursa, Turkey. In addition to a book and two invited chapters in books (in Turkish) .Dr. Gur has published great number of articles in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, and research abstracts in scientific journals and proceeding books.

Dr. Gur is currently an Editor-in-chief of Journal of Sports Science and Medicine ( http://www.jssm.org ). Previously, he served as an editor for Journal of Aging and Physical Activity (2000-2004). Dr. Gur is also a member of Editorial Board of Turkish Journal of Sports Medicine and Turkish Journal of Sports Science, and serves as a guest reviewer for a number of scientific scholar journals.

Dr. Gur particular interest in doping science includes strength training, performance enhancement, athlete health and sports medicine.
