DR. GIUSEPPE LIPPI

Dr. Lippi Medical School Curriculum and postgraduate education included advanced specialization in Clinical Biochemistry and Hematology. His particular interest in doping science includes basic and laboratory research in biochemical identification and quantification of banned substances, with particular regard to blood doping and evaluation of the preanalytical variability in doping testing.

Dr. Lippi other interests include the development and evaluation of methods in laboratory medicine, cardiovascular disease, thrombotic and hemorragic disorders and sports medicine (especially sports hematology). His contribution includes research on structure and metabolism of Lipoprotein(a), biomarkers of thrombophilia, laboratory diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome, and sports hematology.
